All guidesSessions and your timetable

Let customers choose between sessions in one slot

Offer a choice in a time slot, for example a shared session or a private hire. The first booking decides.

A tree is a group of session types that share one time slot. Customers see every option, and the first booking decides which one runs. For example, a 7pm slot could be a shared sauna session or a private hire. Once someone books the private hire, the shared session is no longer offered.

Creating a tree

  1. In the sidebar, open Operations, then the Classes & pricing tab.
  2. Open the Trees tab.
  3. Type a name under Name a new tree and click Create tree.
  4. Click + Add sessions, click each session type it should offer, then Done.
  5. Leave Show on booking page on so customers can see it.

When you build your timetable, pick the tree instead of a single session type for that slot.

Give every session type in a tree the same length, because they share one slot. Slate warns you if they don't match.
