Sell gift cards online, issue them by hand, and see what's outstanding.

Selling gift cards online

1. In the sidebar, open Customers, then the Gift cards tab.
2. Open the Settings tab and turn on Sell gift cards online.
3. Set up to eight preset amounts. If you like, let customers choose their own amount between a minimum and a maximum.
4. Set an expiry in months if you want one, plus the card design and your terms.
5. Click Save changes.

To sell gift cards on your own website, copy the code from the Embed tab. Buyers can send the card to someone else or buy it for themselves. The buyer gets a receipt and the recipient gets the card by email.

Issuing a gift card by hand

1. On the Cards tab, click + Issue gift card.
2. Enter the amount (up to £10,000), and if you like, the recipient's email, a message for them and an internal note for your team.
3. If you entered an email, the box to email the code straight away is already ticked. Untick it if you don't want it sent yet.
4. Click Issue gift card.

You can also issue one from a customer's profile, on their Gift Cards tab.

Managing cards

Open a card to Resend email, Edit details, Adjust balance (with a reason) or Disable card. Click Reveal to see and copy the code. The top of the page shows your outstanding balance and what was issued and redeemed this month.

Customers use a gift card at checkout under Have a gift card?: they enter the code and click Apply.
