Build your timetable
Create weeks of sessions in one go, check them as drafts, then publish.
Your timetable lives in the calendar. In the sidebar, open Operations, then the Calendar tab. Build it on a computer: on a phone, the calendar shows one day at a time, and you can manage existing sessions there but not build new ones.
Creating sessions in bulk
- In the side panel, open Schedule.
- Under Session slots, click + Add slot for each start time and pick the session type that runs then. If you offer a choice in that slot, pick a tree instead (see the guide Let customers choose between sessions in one slot).
- Choose the days of the week, and the date range to fill.
- Click Generate. Slate creates the sessions as drafts.
Drafts and publishing
Drafts are hidden from customers until you publish them. Open Review in the side panel to check them, then click Publish next to a day, or Publish all once you're happy.
Other ways to add sessions
- One session: drag on the calendar, or click a day's add button, then pick the start time and session type and click Add as Draft.
- Copy week: copies the week you're looking at forward, up to 52 weeks. Copies are drafts too, and sessions that already exist are skipped.
Changing a single session
Click a session in the calendar to open it. You can change its number of places (never below the number already booked), its booking cutoff and its staff notes. Managers and Admins can also cancel or delete a session once it has no active bookings.
You can only cancel a session once it has no bookings. Cancel each booking first (see the guide Cancel, refund or move a booking), and refund them as needed.
