Add the booking page to your website

Put your timetable on your own site, so customers book without leaving it.

Your booking page already works on its own. Its address is the Booking URL, under Settings, Company. Most studios also put it on their own website. You do this with an embed: a short piece of code you copy from Slate and paste into your website once.

Creating an embed

  1. In the sidebar, open Bookings, then the Booking page tab.
  2. Open the Embeds tab and click + New embed.
  3. Give it a name, such as "Homepage timetable".
  4. Under How it surfaces, choose how it appears. Inline sits in your page. Popup and Slide-over open when someone clicks a Book now button. Compact strip shows a short strip of upcoming sessions.
  5. Under Locations to show, tick the locations it should include, or leave them all unticked to show every location.
  6. Under Session types to show, tick the session types it should include, or leave them all unticked to show everything at those locations. For example, a private hire page on your website can have an embed that shows only private hire.
  7. Click Create embed. It opens with its code: click Copy.
  8. Paste it into your website where you want it to appear. Most website builders have an "embed" or "custom code" block for this.

Deleting an embed stops that code working on your site. Only delete one you've already taken off your website.

Gift cards, packs and memberships

  • Gift cards and Packs each have their own Embed tab with code, so you can sell them on your website too.
  • Memberships can't be embedded. Instead, the Website tab under Memberships gives you a page link and a ready-made Become a member button to put on your site.

For Apple Pay and Google Pay on your own site, add your website address under Settings, Payments as well. The guide Connect Stripe to take payments explains how.
